Terms of Service.

1. Agreement

Intype (“Service”) is operated by Sampo Metsänperä (“we”, “us”, “our”), based in Finland. Intype is a personality profile and compatibility platform that allows users to create public profiles, answer personality questions across 12 categories, get AI-generated personality summaries, compare compatibility with other users, discover people, and optionally monetize their profiles.

By creating an account or using Intype, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These terms form a binding agreement between you and Intype. Please read them carefully before using the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Intype. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm you have parental consent.

3. Your Account

–You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
–You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others.
–Your username must be 3–24 characters and may only contain lowercase letters, numbers, dots, and underscores.
–Usernames and bios are subject to automated content moderation. Flagged content may be rejected.
–You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.

Profile Setup and Questions

–After signup, you complete a profile setup (country, languages, interests, bio) and answer personality questions.
–Questions span 12 categories: values, personality, lifestyle, interests, hobbies, social, work, health, learning, culture, relationships, and creativity.
–A minimum of 8 answers is required to complete onboarding.
–Profile edits are limited per plan per 30-day window: Free (3 edits), Pro (10 edits), Brand (unlimited).
–You control which profile sections are visible to others (values, lifestyle, traits, interests, hobbies, AI summary, all answers) via Settings.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

–Provide false or misleading information in your profile.
–Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or abuse the Service or its APIs.
–Use the Service to harass, impersonate, or harm other users.
–Attempt to circumvent rate limits, feature gates, quotas, or payment requirements.
–Use automated tools to create accounts or interact with the Service.
–Resell, redistribute, or share paid profile data with third parties.

Warning: We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

5. Your Content

Your profile content (answers, bio, display name) remains yours. You can delete it at any time by deleting your account.

If your profile is set to public, it is visible to anyone on the internet, including search engines. You can set your profile to private at any time in Settings. Private profiles return a 404 and are not indexed.

Public profiles may appear in the Discover/Search section. Pro and Brand profiles may be prioritized in search results.

You grant Intype a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display your profile content (name, bio, personality tags, AI summary) as part of operating the Service.

AI-Generated Content

Users can generate AI personality summaries based on their question answers. Free users receive 2 summaries total. Pro and Brand users get unlimited regeneration. AI summaries are generated using OpenAI and are for informational and entertainment purposes only. We make no guarantee about their accuracy.

Compatibility results may include AI-generated insights such as match context, strongest match areas, and biggest differences. These are generated automatically and should not be relied upon for important decisions.

By using AI features you acknowledge that your answers are sent to OpenAI for processing. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Intellectual Property

The Intype name, logo, and platform code are owned by Sampo Metsänperä. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the Service without written permission.

Compatibility

–Compatibility scores are computed by comparing question answers across categories using a weighted algorithm.
–Scores range from 0% to 100% and are intended for entertainment and self-discovery, not as scientific assessments.
–Free users are limited to 3 compatibility checks per 30 days. Pro/Brand users have unlimited checks.
–Repeated comparisons against the same unchanged target profile do not create duplicate history entries.
–Compatibility results are cached and reused when the target profile has not changed.

6. Paid Features

Intype offers three plans:

–Free — 1 profile, 2 AI summaries (total), 3 compatibility checks per 30 days, 3 profile edits per 30 days, 5 discover searches per 30 days.
–Pro (€1.99/mo or €15.99/yr) — Unlimited AI summaries, unlimited compatibility checks, full compatibility breakdown, 10 profile edits per 30 days, unlimited discover, ability to enable paid profiles.
–Brand (€24.99/mo or €199/yr) — Everything in Pro plus unlimited profile edits, brand tools, and brand-focused discovery.

Billing & Refunds

–Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Prices are in EUR.
–Subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel at any time via the Stripe customer portal — you retain access until the end of the current billing period.
–We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.
–We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

7. Paid Profiles (Monetization)

Pro and Brand users can monetize their profiles by enabling paid profile access in Settings.

–Pricing. Sellers set a one-time price between €2 and €25,000. Currency is EUR only.
–Lifetime access. Buyers pay once and receive permanent access to the seller's full profile content.
–Platform fee. Intype retains 20% of each sale. The seller receives 80% via Stripe Connect.
–Stripe Connect. Sellers must complete Stripe Connect onboarding before receiving payments.
–Locked content. Until unlocked, paid profiles show blurred previews. No actual data is exposed.
–Disabling. Sellers can disable paid profile at any time. Existing buyers retain their lifetime access.
–No refunds. Paid profile unlocks are non-refundable unless required by applicable law.
–No guarantee. Enabling paid profile does not guarantee any purchases will be made.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms without prior notice. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by email or via a notice in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Liability

Disclaimer of Warranties

Intype is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that compatibility scores reflect real-world compatibility. AI-generated content may be inaccurate. Use the Service at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Finnish law, Sampo Metsänperä shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Intype. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Finland.
